About Our Programs

NNM offers early-morning and after school programs Monday - Friday for students ages 3 - 14.

Early Morning Care

Early Morning Care is available throughout the year to students ages 3 to 12. Students may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. Students from the 3-6 level will go to their classrooms during Early Morning Care, while students from 6-9 & 9-12 will go to the 9-12 After School room (The Hangout) for Early Morning Care. Students ages 12-14 who arrive to school early are permitted to wait outside the main office.

Parents are also welcome to send their child(ren) to Early Morning Care on an as-needed basis for a daily fee of $6.65.

After School Care Programs

Our after school programs are divided by levels (3-6, 6-9, 9 - 12 and 12-14) and are created to provide students with an opportunity to participate in various arts & crafts projects, outdoor and indoor games, cooking, free play, reading, etc. with their friends. A healthy snack is available for students enrolled in this program.

While the program is less structured than the student's Montessori day, it follows the same guidelines and expectations. Each after school program is staffed by many of NNM's classroom assistants, Spanish, and gym teachers.

General after school care is available for students who may need childcare before or after an activity. For example, a student may be signed up for a swim class that starts at 4:30 p.m. and need optional after school from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Parents are also welcome to send their child(ren) to general after school on an as-needed basis for a daily fee of $15.00.

After School Activities

NNM offers a wide variety of after school activities. These activities help students develop their physical and mental skills and build character as they gain the confidence to take on and master new challenges. Activities in academic enrichment, aquatics, performing arts, physical education, studio arts, and technology are offered to students; however, not all activities are available at all levels.

Snacks

All students enrolled in General After School levels 3-6, 6-9 and 9-12 will receive a healthy, peanut and tree nut-free snack upon arrival to the General After School room. In addition, all students in the 3-6 level (including activity students, General After School, and half-day activity students) are provided with a snack.  Junior High students may purchase snacks from Sandwich Shop as snack will not be provided in the Junior High lounge.

Children ages 6 and up who are enrolled in 3:30 activities are encouraged to bring a peanut/tree nut-free snack from home, as they are not provided during the activity.

Pick-Up Procedures

Please remember to park in the lot located on the corner of Division and Cleaver when you are coming to pick up your child(ren) from after school or activities. For your convenience, there is a carpool from 5:15 - 5:30 p.m. for students in the 6-9, 9-12, and 12-14 levels who participate in our general after school program. If your child is in an activity that ends at 4:30 p.m. or at 5:30 p.m., you should pick your child up from the activity location. Children from the 3-6 level return to the after school room promptly if they are not picked up from their activity at 4:30 p.m.
